Changing your thinking is changing your future...

About Dom Lawrenson Counselling

Hi, I’m Dom. I’ve been working as a counsellor in private practice since 2018, supporting people through the more confusing parts of life. I try to bring a calm, steady presence to sessions — along with a bit of dry humour where it helps — because sometimes things feel heavy, and it’s okay to breathe a little while talking about them. I’m a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and an accredited supervisor, and committed to ongoing learning so I can offer thoughtful, ethical, and effective support — without making it clinical or intimidating.

I offer 1-hour face-to-face sessions or online counselling via telehealth, making support accessible from the comfort of your own home. Sessions are priced from$60 for 30 minutes, $90 for 45 minutes, and $120 for one hour. Booking and payments can be made conveniently online. Couples sessions are $185 for one hour, and I see you individually for a 45-minute session before the first couples session.

My practice is centred around fostering a non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard and valued. I strive to make it an encouraging environment that empowers you to explore your thoughts and emotions, supporting you on your path towards personal growth and healing.

My background

With 25 years in management, recruitment, and sales, I honed my skills in listening, motivation, and engaging with people from all walks of life. Extensive career and community counselling experience have strengthened my ability to connect without judgment and facilitate meaningful change. I am committed to empowering clients to unlock their full potential. .
